I’m a fantasy writer with a soft spot for science fiction. I’ve always been shamelessly in love with words.

As a founding contributing editor at Hotch Potch Literature & Art, I spend a lot of time thinking about stories. My adventures in reading, writing, editing, and parenting give me plenty to explore in my weekly Substack, Writing Heather.

Originally from the Midwest, I’ve lived in Italy and New York before settling in Silicon Valley, where I share a home (and a lot of books) with my husband and our two sons.
